How bright a star is
The same star works more easily in some cells than in others.
Each star has a “brightness” in each of the twelve cells. From strongest to weakest: Exalted (庙), Strong (旺), Favored (得), Helpful (利), Even (平), Faint (不) and Subdued (陷).
A bright star expresses its gifts easily; a dim one has to work harder and may show its shadow side more. Brightness tunes how a star speaks; it does not change what the star is.
